2013年11月14日下午，《粮食战争》的作者、美国食物与发展政策研究所研究员拉吉•帕特尔（Raj Patel）做客“农政与发展”系列讲座，以其充满激情的演讲，为现场听众解析“绿色革命”漫长的历史中并不为人所熟知的各种背景、话语、叙事，并参考乔万尼•阿里吉（Giovanni Arrighi）等人关于世界资本主义历史发展的时代划分，强调所谓的“新绿色革命”（The New Green Revolution）并不“新”，而只是原本“漫长的绿色革命”（The Long Green Revolution）的一个部分。拉吉•帕特尔认为有关绿色革命的理念和逻辑与托马斯•马尔萨斯（Thomas Malthus）有着很大的关系，因而他的演讲也从马尔萨斯说起。作为第一位授薪的经济学家...more
