On October 5, 2019, a sightseeing tour to Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition, which was specially organized for the new international students of COHD in 2019, was successfully held. This activity was planned by Wang Yanlei, the general coordinator of the MPA program sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, and led by 4 international student assistants, which attracted 40 new international students in 2019 to attend, including 34 postgraduates and 6 PhD candidates.

On the way to the exposition, in order to liven up the atmosphere and enhance mutual understanding, student assistants organized talent show for the new international students. Some of the students were encouraged to sing a song while some shared their stories with each other, making the whole journey filled with laughter in a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. After the arrival at Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition, student assistants briefly introduced the five main venues to the international students and emphasized the time and security issues before guiding them to enter into the exposition. In the pavilion, the international students experienced different sensory impact and artistic edification brought by the northern and southern plants, and had a better understanding of Chinese culture and exotic customs.

So far, the first short-term sightseeing trip organized for the COHD international students 2019 has come to a perfect conclusion. The international students not only experienced the heritage of Chinese traditional culture, but also appreciated the latest achievements of green development all over the world, leaving them an unforgettable memory.
