1.    Time and Venue

Time: From 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Beijing Time), October 25

Venue: Seminar Room 207, CIAD Building, West Campus

2.    Defense Committee

3.    Procedures

(1) The Chair introduces the defense committee, and announces the start of the defense.

(2) The PhD candidate presents his/her proposal in 15 minutes;

(3) The Defense Committee give comments on each proposal in 15 minutes.

(4) The Defense Committee discuss and make a consensus on the assessment of each proposal.

(5) The Chair announces the results of the defense on behalf of the Committee.

4.    Notes for PhD Candidates

(1) Please enter the room 15 minutes ahead and upload your PPT to the computer in the seminar room; 

(2) There are three results for your proposal: excellent, pass (with major or minor revisions), and fail.

(3) Please dress formally and keep quiet when you are not presenting or defending your proposal.
