主讲人简介：平井太郎为日本国立弘前大学研究生院教授，东京大学社区社会学博士。他的研究主要聚焦城市和农村的社区建设，尤其关注社区内外参与者包括学者之间的社会互动所产生的影响。自2012年起，平井教授先后担任国土交通省“社区小站”发展政策委员会以及总务省“地方振兴合作社”政策委员会成员。此外，他还被任命为农林水产省新农村发展政策委员会成员。

Introduction to the Speaker: Taro Hirai is a Professor in the Graduate School of Hirosaki University, one of the National University of Japan. Prof. Hirai studied sociology on community and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Tokyo. He investigated the processes of community building in the both urban and rural neighborhoods, with particular emphasis on the effect of social interactions between actors within and without the community, including academicians as like as himself.

Prof. Hirai has been appointed to the member of two councils on the rural development policy by the Japanese government since 2012: first, the council on “developing small stations in communities” policy by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism, second, the council on “local vitalization cooperators” policy by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. Hirai has been also appointed to the member of a council on the new policy of rural development of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
