 Chunyu Wang is a Professor in the Department of Social Policy and Development Studies at COHD. Recognized as an Elsevier "Highly Cited Chinese Scholar" from 2020-2024, her research primarily focuses on rural transformation and agrarian change. She has led national-level projects and published numerous academic papers in high-level domestic and international journals, including Open Times, Women's Studies Forum, Chinese Rural Economy, Journal of Peasant Studies, Journal of Contemporary China, and Agriculture and Human Values. Her translated works include Encountering Development, Class Dynamics of Agrarian Change, and Sociology of Development (forthcoming). Her work has been honored with multiple awards, including the Third and Second Prizes for Outstanding Achievement in Scientific Research in Higher Education (Humanities and Social Sciences) at the 7th and 8th awards respectively. She has also received the First and Second Prizes for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences from Beijing Municipality at the 10th and 14th awards.
